At Northwest Ohio Birth Services, we believe that for most low-risk mothers, birth is a normal, natural bodily process, not a medical event that needs to be managed. When you hire us as your care providers, you are asking us to guide you through your childbearing year by encouraging you to make healthy lifestyle choices for you and your baby. We believe that prenatal care is what you are eating, drinking, and doing in your everyday life to maintain good health and grow a healthy baby.

During our one hour visits, we will focus mainly on nutrition and daily exercise, as well as spending time getting to know each other (so when we come to you in labor we are coming more as friends, which affects labor less than if we come as strangers). Most of these visits are conducted at Jennifer's office inside the Risner Spinal Center in Findlay, OH. 

We safeguard the natural process of labor and birth, ensuring everything stays within the realms of normal, offering recommendations as necessary, and transferring if and when appropriate. We stay with you until approximately 2-3 hours after the birth, to ensure mom and baby are stable, then do scheduled check-ins until the final 6 week postpartum office visit.
