Meet Jennifer
I have been researching the childbearing year for as long as I can remember. I became a licensed massage therapist in 2003 and a birth doula (through DONA International) in 2006. In 2011, while attaining my Associates in Medical Assisting, I realized I wanted to help parents-to-be in a more personal way. One that would help them be more autonomous and in charge. I did more research and started apprenticing with a CPM in July of 2012.
In August of 2013, just two months after graduating from the University of Northwest Ohio, I entered the Community Program at Birthwise Midwifery School, in Bridgton, Maine. I started working as a Direct-Entry Midwife the year before graduating from Birthwise in June 2017, then sat for and passed the NARM CPM exam in July 2018.
"Midwifery brings some unique aspects to my doula work. Since I no longer choose to be certified, I am able to incorporate some of what I have learned through my training, to help parents choose the best time to go to the hospital, or call the midwife as the case may be, while still remaining safe." When hired as a doula, I DO NOT stay home and catch your baby. If you would like home birth services, please contact me so we can discuss your situation.
When not studying and attending home or hospital births, Jennifer lives in the Findlay, OH area, and spends what little free time she has studying, sewing, collecting items from the 1800s, and spending time with friends & family.

Meet Chloe
My path to midwifery started when I was pregnant with my first child in 2016. In order to prepare for birth, I did a lot of research and discovered the deep brokenness of our modern maternity care system. I desired autonomy and the chance to birth in a physiologic, spiritual way. As time went on, and I had more children, the passion I had for childbirth only continued to grow.
In 2022, I began attending births as a support person in the hospital and at home and became a certified doula in 2023. My passion and love for home birth continued to grow through this experience, and I decided to apply to Midwives College of Utah to pursue my Bachelor’s of Science in Midwifery. I began courses in May 2023 and started apprenticing with Jennifer in March 2024.
I believe in the wisdom of our bodies. I believe that pregnancy and birth is a deeply natural and deeply spiritual journey. I believe in shared decision-making. I consider it a deep honor to accompany families along their own journey through pregnancy, labor and delivery.
Some of my other joys are being outside - whether on a walk or hike, or in my own little backyard cultivating my cut flower and herb garden, reading classic literature, knitting and sewing for my family, singing, and doing tech work for a local bookstore.
